R&D and Innovation
Our research and innovations are inspired by problems our clients and communities face. We selectively work on the problems which fit our core competencies in PFAS analytical science, adsorbent and material sciences. When researching solutions, we strive to apply Green Chemistry principles which can also lower costs. We believe PFAS treatment methods should not be expensive nor have unintended consequences once deployed
Here are two patent pending innovations:
We are developing a patent-pending adsorbent (US 2023/0182113 A1) using green chemistry principles. This material is undergoing further development under a contract with the US Department of Defense.
We have a second innovation consisting of a solvent-free reagent (US 2025/0033030 A1) which removes PFAS from spent ion exchange resins into an aqueous concentrate. We have demonstrated that the PFAS-laden regenerant is compatible with available destruction technologies and PFAS are fully mineralized.
